Kate Orman is best known for her Doctor Who novels, many co-written with her husband, Jonathan Blum. Kate still loves writing for Doctor Who — her Second Doctor audionovel, The Dead Star (2023), is available from Big Finish — but her big ambition is to publish an original science fiction novel. Kate’s interests include topics from space exploration to Ancient Egyptian mythology: she wrote the Black Archives volume on The Pyramids of Mars. When she’s not scribbling, Kate helps rescue street cats and messes around on Bluesky (@kateorman.bsky.social). Kate’s favourite story is probably still Ghost Light.
