Bjay Hobbs fondly remembers watching Doctor Who after school with her much older brother from the age of five. She would always get upset whenever the Doctor regenerated — especially when it was one of her favourite Doctors like, Tom Baker or the Doctor with the celery stick (Peter Davison, of course). Years later, while living with her sister, Bjay re-experienced that joy, sharing the excitement of the Doctor’s return when the series kicked off again with Christopher Eccleston — her new favourite — and David Tennant. It’s a family thing, really — regenerating that joy across generations.
